Ella Langley Blocked From A New Radio No. 1 By Her Collaborator

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” is not only the biggest country song of the year, but the most successful tune of any style in America. The smash holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a milestone fifteenth frame, making it one of the eight longest-running champions in the history of the most competitive songs ranking in the United States.

Even as “Choosin’ Texas” refuses to step aside, Langley has several other singles performing well at the moment. One of them, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” is a collaboration with country superstar Morgan Wallen. This frame, that track nearly scores both artists another winner on the Country Airplay chart, the busiest and most competitive genre-specific radio rundown in the U.S. – but one of the two musicians blocks himself from No. 1… at least for the time being.

Ella Langley’s New Single Reaches a New Peak

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” steps up one space on the Country Airplay chart, lifting from No. 3 to a new all-time high of No. 2. The collaboration may lead the ranking in the coming weeks, but for the moment, Wallen prevents himself from adding once again to his already historic total of winners. His own “Don’t We” occupies the top spot, forcing his team-up with Langley to settle for space directly beneath it.

Morgan Wallen Scores His Twenty-First No. 1

“Don’t We” also advances a single rung on the Country Airplay chart, rising from No. 2 to No. 1. The solo cut replaces Jason Aldean’s “Don’t Tell on Me,” which controlled the roster for multiple frames.

“Don’t We” becomes Wallen’s twenty-first No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. With a new victory now included in his discography, the singer ties Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett for the eighth-most leaders in the history of the ranking.

Ella Langley Seeks Her Fifth Country Radio No. 1

Langley is looking for her fifth Country Airplay champion and her third of 2026. She first reached No. 1 in December 2024 with “You Look Like You Love Me,” her collaboration with Riley Green. The pair returned to the top spot the following December with “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

So far this year, “Choosin’ Texas” has commanded the chart for three frames, while “Be Her,” another single from Dandelion, spent four periods in charge after first reaching No. 1 in June.

Ella Langley Has Two No. 2 Hits

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” is one of only two Langley tracks to break into the Country Airplay top 10 without making it to No. 1 – though that could easily change in the coming weeks. Both of those tunes have stalled in the runner-up position. “Weren’t for the Wind” missed out on leading by only one rung before “I Can’t Love You Anymore” matched its placement this week.

Morgan Wallen Has Never Stalled at No. 2

Wallen has never seen one of his songs finish its run at No. 2 on the Country Airplay chart. Only three of his 24 top 10 hits have failed to spend even one turn as the No. 1 most successful tune at country radio.

“I Can’t Love You Anymore” is still rising, and could soon remove itself from that short group. The other two tracks, “Everything I Love” and “One Thing at a Time,” peaked at Nos. 3 and 8, respectively.

If “I Can’t Love You Anymore” advances, Wallen will immediately earn his twenty-second leader. He’ll break out of a historic tie that he just set and move ahead of Urban and Rhett.

Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Chart More Hits

Both Wallen and Langley appear on the Country Airplay chart with another tune this week. Wallen sits alongside Hardy, Eric Church and Tim McGraw on “McArthur,” which steps up one space to No. 19. The collaboration sits two rungs beneath its previously-established No. 17 peak.

“Loving Life Again,” one of four singles from Dandelion, earns a much grander improvement. Langley’s solo cut jumps from No. 32 to a new high point of No. 24 in only its third week on the Country Airplay chart.
