Health is always a valuable resource in action RPGs, as, well, you don't want to die. The more health you have, the longer you'll stay alive against difficult enemies and resonants. Rather than increasing a health stat, you'll need to look for health upgrade points. Once you collect three health upgrade points, you'll increase your maximum health.

Here's where to find health upgrade points in Control Resonant.

How to get health upgrade points in Control Resonant

Health upgrade points are found in large resource crates, specifically the crates that look like ice cream stands.

Some of the resource crates are next to vendors or hidden away in secret hideouts, so you'll need to get exploring and solve a few puzzles. Your best bet is to level up your zones until you unlock the locations of every large resource crate on the map. Unfortunately, you won't know what's inside the crate until you see it, and some are still hard to find, even if you know their location.

Downtown health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are five health upgrade points in the Downtown zone, and four of them can be found without traversal abilities. However, you will need Reach from the Evacuation Zone to reach the final upgrade point.

Urban Fresh Mart		The first health upgrade point can actually be found during the prologue. Turn right as soon as you exit the Oldest House to find the Urban Fresh Mart. Go inside to find the ice cream stand with the upgrade point.
Atlantis Cafe		This Atlantis Cafe is located northwest of the Oldest House. Solve the puzzle inside by turning on the appliances in the correct order, which will reveal a secret hideout containing an ice cream stand.
Rooftop of brick building east of Oldest House		Head east of the Oldest House and use Elevate to jump to the top of the brick building. The ice cream stand will be on the southernmost rooftop.
Vendor		Go southwest from the "Outside the Oldest House" fast travel door, and head into the alleyway across the street. Inside, you'll find the vendor and the ice cream stand to its left.
Island south of "Chasm" fast travel door		Use Reach on the balcony at Lookout Point, and then follow the road south. Reach to the rooftops on the left side of the road, and glide your way over to the island. On the southern corner, you'll find an ice cream stand.

Central health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are six health upgrade points for you to grab in Central, letting you increase your maximum health twice. However, you will need to progress in the main story to collect one of them.

Location	Map	Description
Central Supply Route Station		As you're exiting the Underground Supply Route, you'll find this health upgrade point inside a little storefront in the subway station.
Urban Fresh Mart		Head inside the Urban Fresh Mart to the northwest of the Field Office to find a health upgrade point.
Wear'Em & Wash'Em Laundromat		Go inside the laundromat just northwest of the East Park Station, and solve the puzzle inside by turning on the laundry machines associated with the 1's on the note. Make sure to also turn off the incorrect machines. Once complete, go into the secret hideout to grab the health upgrade point.
Vendor		Go southeast of the Patterned Factory to find the vendor, and its health upgrade point.
Patterned Factory		As you're clearing the red masses off the pipes in the Patterned Factory, you'll notice a health upgrade point behind a barred door. Defeat the enemies in the next room, and follow the path to the next fork. Make sure to go left at the fork, and follow it to the end, where you'll find the health upgrade point.
Field Office Station (during "Power Lines" main quest)		During the "Power Lines" main quest, you'll head to the Field Office Station after you reroute all three stations. Use the tuning device on Platform A to teleport to Platform B, and go up the stairs. Transfer the electricity from one power core to the other, and go into the room to find the health upgrade point.

West Incursion Zone health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are four health upgrade points found in the West Incursion Zone, and most require you to have the Shift traversal ability from the Parking Garage fault. You can get the Parking Garage health upgrade point without it, but it's easier to just wait until after you finish the fault.

Location	Map	Description
Vendor		Fly over the hiss spikes in the alleyway northwest of the map pylon to find the vendor. The health upgrade point is directly to the left of the ice cream truck.
Parking Garage		Complete the fault inside the Parking Garage, where you'll learn Shift. As you're exiting, follow the road, where you'll be able to spot a lit ice cream stand ahead of you.
Urban Fresh Mart		This Urban Fresh Mart is located on the southeast road in the West Incursion Zone. Solve the puzzle inside by inputting the soda dispenser code into the cash register, which will reveal a secret hideout. Go inside to find the health upgrade point.
Empire Avenue Station		Make your way to the resonant in the West Incursion Zone. Go into Empire Avenue Station, where you'll find a health upgrade point inside the Jumpin' Joe's Books & Comics Galore store.

Evacuation Zone health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are four health upgrade points in the Evacuation Zone. One is technically in The Park, but you need to go through the Evacuation Zone to get it.

Könstig Art Gallery		This Könstig Art Gallery is located just southeast of the "Main Street" fast travel door. Solve the puzzle inside to uncover a secret hideout containing a health upgrade point.
Vendor		The health upgrade point is directly next to the vendor, which is to the east of the "Main Street" fast travel door.
Evac Building		Progress through the "Evacuation Procedures" main story quest. After you defeat the enemies on the 12th floor and reach the scaffolding platforming section, you'll naturally run into this health upgrade point.
Subway fault		After you finish the Subway fault and make your way to the exit, you'll run into the "Patterned Metro Tunnels" fast travel door. Go into the blue door beside it, and follow the path to find this health upgrade point.

The Park health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

We've found three health upgrade points in The Park, so far.

Location	Map	Description
On the way to the resonant		After you eat the three molds, go through the moldy gate at the bottom of the pit. On the way, you'll run into a health upgrade point.
Vendor		Go through the parking garage on the northeast side of The Park, and then climb up the giant mold wall on the road heading southwest. This will take you to the top of the parking garage, where you'll find the vendor and its health upgrade point.
Atlantis Cafe		Head to the southeast corner of The Park, where you'll find an Atlantis Cafe. Solve the puzzle by recording the orders of tables 1, 5, 4, and 2, and then input their associated letters into the cash register. This will reveal a secret hideout containing a health upgrade point.

Underpass health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

We've found two health upgrade points in the Underpass zone, so far.

Location	Map	Description
Vendor		When you first make it to the Underpass, follow the string of glow sticks until you reach an area where you must Shift onto a wall with a bunch of desks. Continue over to the next pillar, but instead of following the rope, go toward the red hiss spikes. Glide over the spikes to find the vendor and the health upgrade component.
Path to the Underpass Resonant		After you climb the Spire and make it into the white area with black pillars, walk up to the first save point. Then, turn to the right to see a path to the floating island in the distance. Make your way over, and follow the path of clutter until you naturally reach the health upgrade point.

Unknown health upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are two health upgrade points in the Unknown zone. To get them all you must solve a secret hideout puzzle and complete the main story.

This gym is right at the edge of a chasm and at one of the lowest points of elevation. Solve the puzzle inside by using the stationary bike and treadmill at varying speeds, but make sure to use the vending machine between each set. A secret hideout will reveal itself when done correctly. Go inside and grab the health upgrade point.

Once you collect three power upgrade points, you'll increase your maximum power, which is a resource used to cast combat abilities. Keep in mind that you are not increasing your damage output, but more so increasing how many abilities you can use when the white bar fills up on your screen.

How to get power upgrade points in Control Resonant

Power upgrade points are found in large resource crates, specifically the crates made out of concrete blocks, or earned as a reward from arcade machines.

Some of the resource crates are locked in testing research facilities, so you'll need to solve a few puzzles and beat a few challenges. Your best bet is to level up your zones until you unlock the locations of every large resource crate on the map. Unfortunately, you won't know what's inside the crate until you see it, and some are still hard to find, even if you know their location.

As for the arcade machines, you need to earn the second-highest score to get one as a reward, but these can be fairly tough, especially early on. However, if you're short on time, you can always use the Assist Mode menu to help you get a high score.

Downtown power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

We've found four power upgrade points in Downtown, so far. Two of them can be reached without any traversal abilities, but the other two will need Reach, which can be obtained from the Evacuation Zone.

Location	Map	Description
Resonant Ruins		Head back to the Resonant Ruins, where you faced off against the Artist resonant in the prologue. You'll find the concrete crate near the center of the arena.
Southeast construction site		Head southeast of the vendor, where you'll find an under-construction building. Find the entrance on the southern side of the building, and defeat the enemies inside. Go into the room on the bottom floor to find the power upgrade point.
Testing Facility Reade		Use Reach at Lookout Point to get into the southeastern area of Downtown. Then head inside the construction site, where you'll find an entrance to a sewer on the bottom floor. Follow it to the end, where you'll find a puzzle where you need to swap every item into a soda dispenser and place them into a yellow square. Once solved, head into the unlocked room to find the power upgrade point.
Arcade machine		To get this power upgrade point, make sure your Downtown is at least zone level 8. In the southeastern area of Downtown, use Reach to jump onto the rooftops and then jump over to the floating platform of traffic pylons and trash cans. Follow the platforms to the laundromat, where you'll find the arcade machine inside. Get the second-highest score to get a power upgrade point.

Central power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are six power upgrade points in the Central zone. To get them all, you'll need to progress in the main story line and level up the zone to four in order to unlock every power upgrade point.

Location	Map	Description
Underground Supply Route		After you ride the elevator down from the Watchtower, you'll enter a large room with a power block. There'll be two unpowered blocks: one in the north and one in the west. Transfer the power to the one in the west, and head inside to find the power upgrade point.
R&C Storage		Progress in the "Evacuation Procedures" main story quest in the Evacuation Zone to get the level 2 security keycard. Then, return to the "Field Office" fast travel door, and head to the bottom level to find the R&C Storage room.
Patterned Factory (second floor)		Use a power block to get inside the Patterned Factory, and head up to the second floor. You'll see another room that needs a charged power block. Hit the power block to the south, and quickly take it back to the locked room. Unlock the door and head inside, where you'll find a power upgrade point.
FBC Testing Facility		Head northeast from the vendor to find a construction site. Go into the sewer and follow it until the end to find the testing facility. For this puzzle, swap the charge from the blue power cores to the blinking red power cores and vice versa. The faster they're blinking, the less power they have. Keep all power cores alive for 60 seconds and activate the switch again to unlock the room with the power upgrade point.
Arcade machine		To use this arcade machine, your Central has to be at least zone level 4. Go east from the Patterned Factory to find the Urban Fresh Mart and get the second-highest score on the parkour challenge to get this power upgrade point.

West Incursion Zone power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are four power upgrade points in the West Incursion Zone, and three out of four require the Shift traversal ability, which can be unlocked in the Parking Garage fault.

House of Mirrors		Head inside the House of Mirrors to find a power upgrade point in the southern corner.
Test Facility Broadway		Use Shift to reach the sewer entrance on the second southeasternmost road. Follow it to the end, swap each item into a soda dispenser, and place them into the yellow squares to solve the puzzle. Go into the unlocked room to get the power upgrade point.
West Supply Route Station		Go to the southeast corner of the West Incursion Zone, and go into the subway station leading to Downtown. Follow the left tracks, use Shift to climb up the wall, and follow the path until you find the power upgrade point.
Arcade machine		To use this arcade machine, your West Incursion Zone must be at least zone level 3. It can be found in the Atlantis Cafe just east of the Empire Avenue fast travel door.

Evacuation Zone power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

We've found four power upgrade points in the Evacuation Zone, so far. For the last two power upgrades, you'll need to progress further into the main story quest before you can retrieve them.

Testing Facility Pearl		Head to the southern point of the Evacuation Zone, where you'll find the entrance to a sewer. Follow the path to the end, and solve the puzzle inside by turning every item into a soda dispenser and placing them into the yellow squares.
Arcade machine		To use this arcade machine, your Evacuation Zone must be at least zone level 6. You also need to get the level 2 security keycard, which you'll get during the "Evacuation Procedures" quest. The arcade machine can be found in the room that requires the level 2 security keycard on the ground floor of the Evac Building.
Landromat path to sinkhole		Progress to the "Recursions and Iterations" main story quest to unlock the laundromat path to sinkhole. Go inside the building to find the power upgrade point on the left side of the room.
Bottom of sinkhole		During the "Recursions and Iterations" main story quest, drop to the bottom of the sinkhole, where you'll find a power upgrade point in the southern corner.

The Park power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are three power upgrade points in The Park. To get them all, you'll need to complete the "New Growth" side quest.

Location	Map	Description
Security checkpoint		Make your way to the southwest corner of The Park, where you'll find an elevator into a security checkpoint covered in mold. Use the elevator to go inside, and follow the path to find a power upgrade point.
Arcade machine		This arcade machine requires The Park to be at least zone level 4. Head to the northern section of The Park and make your way over to the building just northeast of the power cores. Go to the east side of the building, and burn the moldy door. Go inside to find the arcade machine. Get the second-highest high score to get a power upgrade point.

Underpass power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are three power upgrade points in the Underpass zone, but you'll need to unlock the "Maintenance Protocol" side quest, which is unlocked after finishing the "Zoe's Briefing" side quest, to get them all.

Across the chasm		Progress in the "Recursion and Iterations" main story quest until you ride the cable car. Ride it and the power upgrade point will be waiting for you on the other side.

Also, you need to unlock the "Maintenance Protocol" side quest by completing the "Zoe's Briefing" side quest. The Oldest House power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

While the Oldest House isn't technically one of the zones, you do spend a decent chunk of time here during "The House in Distress" main story quest. There's one power upgrade point hidden inside.

In the large room you need to restore power, you'll find a power upgrade point in a room in the southeast corner that is full of mannequins.

Unknown power upgrade point locations in Control Resonant

There are three power upgrade points in the Unknown zone. You'll need to complete the main story of the game if you'd like to grab them all.

Inside building beside the "Factory Island" fast travel door	Graphic: Johnny Yu/Polygon | Source images: Remedy Entertainment via Polygon	Travel to the westernmost island in the Unknown by using the gravity well from Pope's research balloon, and get to the fast travel door, which is on the westernmost point of the island. Drop down and go into the building directly next to you. This building is on the same plane, so you won't need to use Shift or Reach. Defeat the enemies inside, and get the power upgrade point in the locker room.

This arcade machine is in the same building as the power upgrade point above. Get the second-highest score to unlock it.

While the circumstances are very different, Norris' supporters also argue that his case hinges on disputed interpretations of medical evidence.

The story begins in 2002 when Norris, a 26-year-old nurse, originally from Glasgow, found Ethel in an hypoglycemic coma as she recovered from a broken hip.

Doctors took blood samples to find out what caused her blood sugar to drop so low.

The test results seemed conclusive - she had a massive amount of insulin in her blood.

She died 21 days later, sparking a murder investigation.

A nurse who had been on shift on the night Ethel was found told the police that Norris had predicted the 86-year-old might not last the night.

He quickly became the prime suspect.

The police operation trawled retrospectively through all the deaths on Norris's wards, looking for potential murders that may have gone unnoticed.

They identified three other cases of unexplained severe hypoglycemic deaths and one where the patient recovered.

No blood tests had been taken from these cases at the time of their deaths to be able to prove insulin poisoning but experts for the prosecution said in court that their medical charts showed persistent and severe low blood sugar readings.

They said that because this was so rare in non-diabetics that it must be murder.

When it came to court in 2007, experts called by the defence said four of the five patients had died of natural causes.

But after a five-month trial and a deadlocked jury, Norris was convicted by a majority of 11-1 and told he would not be eligible for parole for 30 years.

After the verdict, Ethel's son Stuart Hall said: "I don't think he should come out again. He's got the knowledge to commit murder but do it discreetly."

When I got involved in the case in 2009, Norris, who is now known as Colin Campbell, had just lost his first appeal against conviction.

Two years later, new scientific evidence came to light which challenged one of the key assumptions underpinning the prosecution case.

It claimed hypoglycemia - low blood sugar - in the frail and elderly is not as vanishingly rare as was once thought, suggesting the jury had been misinformed.

This new evidence was submitted for a second appeal, which took another 14 years to be heard.

During that appeal last year, experts for Norris argued that the symptoms seen in several of the patients could occur naturally in elderly, frail people.

Experts for the Crown maintained the deaths were medically distinct.

They said their blood sugar readings were refractory, meaning they kept coming back despite being given glucose, whereas naturally-occurring hypoglycemia can be easily corrected with a treatment such as a sugary drink.

They argued this distinction could only be explained by deliberate insulin poisoning.

Were the syringes accidentally switched?

Initially, we discounted this scenario because we assumed medical staff would be alerted if a diabetic patient had accidentally been given dextrose instead of insulin.

However, endocrinologist Prof Joel Zonszein, an expert in diabetes, said the amount given would not have caused a severe illness.

"The answer is very different from somebody getting insulin," he said.

"Insulin is much more aggressive. Giving too much sugar does not cause a coma and it will take more that 24 hours until the person goes into a coma. It's completely different."

Prof Zonszein also said the amount of insulin Ethel may have been given accidentally would have produced the high readings in her immunoassay blood test taken five hours later.

He said the drip of dextrose would have masked the insulin, making it harder to notice, but the blood test result would still register a very high level of insulin.

If the syringes were accidentally switched, is that a mix-up rather than a murder?

That still leaves another question: what caused Ethel to fall into a coma in the first place?

Our investigation found all five patients had been prescribed medications, all were on antibiotics and two of the women were on powerful painkillers.

All of these are known to increase the risk of severe hypoglycaemia in frail, elderly patients.

It is possible that a strong opioid prescribed to Ethel for her post-op pain put her in a coma, and insulin meant for somebody else was accidentally given to her before the blood sample, which proved poisoning, was taken.

The Court of Appeal ruled last year on whether naturally-occurring hypoglycaemia could explain the medical collapse of the four patients beyond Ethel Hall but ruled the case put by Norris' team got nowhere close to undermining the safety of his convictions and rejected the appeal on all grounds.

They also rejected Norris' lawyers' attempts to go to the Supreme Court.

An application has been made to the European Court of Human Rights, by Norris' lawyers, but solicitor Rory Hearty says this "hurdle" will take many years. %!s()

In an SEC filing Friday, Paramount said its board on Sept. 25 “determined to voluntarily withdraw the listing of its Class B common stock” from the Nasdaq Global Select Market, under the ticker “PSKY,” and transfer the listing to the New York Stock Exchange. The company expects that the listing and trading of the Class B Common Stock on Nasdaq will end at market close on or about Oct. 5, and that trading will begin on the NYSE at market open on or about Oct. 6.

The board set a record date of the close of business on Oct. 5 for Paramount’s previously announced distribution of warrants giving those holders the option to purchase shares of Class B Common Stock on the NYSE. Those shares would begin trading on Oct. 13.

However, Paramount noted, “the distribution of the Warrants is contingent on the closing of the previously announced acquisition by the Company of Warner Bros. Discovery” — and that currently, the WBD merger is “subject to further closing conditions, and the ultimate timing for the closing of the WBD Merger, if any, is not yet certain.”

As a result, Paramount may choose to “cancel the Record Date and/or the Issue Date or postpone the Record Date and/or the Issue Date to a later date.”

Also Friday, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that, in connection with the pending Paramount merger, WBD intends to voluntarily delist from Nasdaq its “Euro Notes” debt securities (4.302% senior notes due 2030 and 4.693% senior notes due 2033). To delist the Euro Notes, WBD expects to file a notification “on or around” Oct. 6 with the SEC.

The last hurdle for Paramount’s WBD merger was cleared this week after it reached a settlement with 12 Democratic state attorneys general. If approved by the court, it would drop the antitrust lawsuit the states had filed to block the deal. The judge in the case is still reviewing the proposed settlement, which does not require major concessions from Paramount, and has requested the parties file a response by Monday, Sept. 28, to the request by Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) to launch an independent review of the proposed consent decree.

Starting Oct. 1, Paramount will being accruing a $7-million-per-day “ticking fee” payable to Warner Bros. Discovery shareholders until the merger closes.

The warrants to be issued by Paramount to PSKY shareholders are intended to provide eligible holders of its existing Class B Common Stock the opportunity to purchase shares of Class B Common Stock in a new entity “on similar terms” to those offered to the parties in the equity syndicate backing the Warner Bros. Discovery deal, including David Ellison; his father, Larry Ellison; and Gerry Cardinale, head of RedBird Capital Partners.

The company expects to issue approximately 470 million warrants on Oct. 5. Shares of Class B Common Stock held by the Paramount Global 401(k) Plan and the Paramount Global Master Trust will, in lieu of receiving warrants in the warrant distribution, receive shares of Class B Common Stock.

According to Paramount, if issued, each warrant initially will entitle the holder to purchase one share of Class B Common Stock at an initial exercise price per share equal to the average of the daily volume-weighted average price of the Class B Common Stock for 20 trading days ending on (and including) the third business day prior to the closing of the WBD merger. The organizations getting this right are not asking how few people they need. They are asking what their people need to become.

I have a specific vantage point on this. At APPLY, we aim to have every new client engagement start with a minimum of 50% agents working alongside human practitioners from day one. Not as an experiment, but as the delivery model. That means we have had to answer the talent question in practice, not in theory. And what we have learned is that the shift AI creates is not subtraction. It is transformation.

The trajectory of that transformation follows a pattern we have mapped explicitly. Today, most organizations are human-led with AI handling a thin layer of routine execution. In the near term, that flips into an assisted model: AI takes on more of the execution, and humans focus on judgment and direction.

Further out, agentic delivery becomes the norm, with AI doing the heavy lifting and humans guiding outcomes rather than producing them. The North Star is autonomous delivery, not a replacement story, but a leverage story. Total capacity expands at every stage. As AI absorbs more at the bottom, humans move up the value stack. The implication for talent isn’t smaller teams. It’s teams with a higher floor for what good looks like.

What Actually Changes

When agents handle execution, content generation, data processing, workflow execution and routine decision-making, the human role does not disappear. It elevates. We worked with a retail client whose merchandising team was spending the majority of their time producing weekly performance reports. Once agents handled the assembly, those same people were making ranging decisions that had previously been delegated to gut feel. The output was better. So was the job. The work that is left when AI handles execution is not less. It is harder, and it matters more.

Most people assume AI simplifies work. In our experience, the baseline expectation for what a human contribution looks like goes up when the mechanical parts are handled. That is uncomfortable at first. It is also where the real growth is.

The skill that separates people in this environment is not speed. It is judgment: knowing when the agent is wrong, being able to diagnose why and having enough genuine domain expertise to course-correct. The gap is not access to technology. It is the quality of the question being asked and the credibility to evaluate the answer.

The Ingenuity Premium

There is a pattern I have noticed across our engagements. As AI takes on more at the bottom of an organization, such as the repeatable, the predictable and the high-volume, human ingenuity expands at the top. The ceiling on what a person can contribute gets higher when the floor is handled.

What ingenuity actually looks like in an agentic environment is the ability to define a problem precisely enough that a system can act on it, to recognize when the system’s output is technically correct but strategically wrong and to hold accountability for results that were largely produced by something you directed rather than something you built yourself. That combination of domain mastery, systems fluency and outcome ownership is genuinely rare. The organizations building it deliberately are pulling away from those waiting for it to develop on its own.

This shows up in how we think about hiring and onboarding at APPLY. We are not looking for people who are fast at the tasks agents can handle. We are looking for people who can work at the level the agents make possible, who can direct, evaluate and own the outcome of work that is partly or mostly generated by systems they are responsible for. That is a different skill set and it takes deliberate effort to build.

The organizations that understand this are investing in human capability alongside their AI investment. They are training their people not just to use the tools but to work at the level the tools make possible. And they are not waiting for the workforce to adapt on its own; they are designing for it.

The Talent Needed In Five Years

When I think about the talent we will need five years from now, most of those roles do not exist today in their current form. We will need practitioners who are masters of their craft and fluent in agentic systems simultaneously, people who can set the direction a dozen agents execute, who can tell when the agent is wrong and why and who can design experience ecosystems rather than individual touchpoints.

The leadership question is harder still. Executives leading AI-native organizations will need a genuine tolerance for systems they do not fully control, a bias toward outcome measurement over process management and the conviction to hold their organizations accountable to a standard the rest of the industry is still debating.

That profile is rare today. Building it deliberately is one of the most important investments any organization can make right now, not because AI is taking jobs, but because AI is raising the bar on what the best jobs actually require.

The future of work is not fewer people doing the same things more efficiently. It is different people doing different things at a level that was not previously possible. The organizations that understand this are building a genuine competitive advantage. The ones treating it as a cost story will find themselves short not just of the right technology, but of the people capable of using it well.​
