AGC Digital will “partner with creators to develop original IP and leverage AGC’s capabilities across financing, development, production, marketing, publicity and international distribution to build, commercialize and scale IP for audiences around the world,” AGC said.

Jared Jacobs is spearheading the new unit as senior VP, AGC Digital, reporting to Joel Zimmer, president, AGC Unwritten.

Jacobs’ new creator-focused division is dedicated to “identifying, developing, financing and commercializing intellectual property from the digital ecosystem,” AGC said. The division will partner with creators to “expand their ideas, content and audiences into entertainment properties spanning unscripted, kids & family, native digital, microdramas, scripted television and film.”

Most recently, Jacobs worked with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television on digital strategy, development, creator partnerships and new IP. Previously, he served as VP of development at Night Studios, where he helped lead the company’s creator-led entertainment slate and developed projects with some of the world’s biggest digital talent, including MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Ryan Trahan, Sam & Colby, Moriah Elizabeth and Zach King. Prior to Night, Jacobs held roles at Blumhouse Television, Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas, Endeavor Content (now Fifth Season) and WME.

Ford stated, “So many of the most exciting storytellers of this generation are building huge audiences on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, but, for all but a very small number, the path into mainstream feature film and premium TV remains elusive. AGC Digital changes that. We’re giving creators what they’ve never had: a genuine independent studio partner, with the financing, production muscle and global distribution reach to take their voices into feature films, scripted series, and unscripted formats without losing what made their audiences love them or control of their own IP. The creator economy is the talent pipeline of the future, and AGC Digital intends to be its home.”

Zimmer added, “With AGC Digital, we’re excited to combine the creativity, authenticity and connection creators have to their audiences with the financing, development and global distribution capabilities of AGC so that creators can build original IP that will live far beyond a single platform.”

Jacobs said, “I’m incredibly excited to join AGC and build AGC Digital at a studio with the resources, capabilities and entrepreneurial mindset to bring ambitious ideas to life. Creators have already proven they can build incredible ideas, passionate audiences and valuable IP on their own. Our opportunity is to be a true creative and business partner, developing original IP with creators and building new entertainment franchises designed to grow across platforms, formats and markets. We are not here to borrow their audience; we are here to build something valuable with them.”

AGC Studios is in post-production on Ellie Foumbi’s erotic thriller “Fleur,” starring Halle Berry. It recently hosted the Toronto world premiere of Lauren Miller Rogen’s “Babies,” starring Anna Kendrick and Seth Rogen, and launched sales on Casey Affleck’s Venice competition film “Company.”

AGC Television has just wrapped production on Beatles biopic series “Hamburg Days,” and is in post on “Embassy,” a geo-political action thriller series starring Kendrick, Sam Heughan and J.K. Simmons. %!s()

District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Todd Edelman, in his order tossing the case "with prejudice," cited the "exceptional circumstances" of the risk that President Donald Trump would pressure prosecutors to re-charge Hearn. A dismissal with prejudice prevents a case from being refiled.

Edelman noted that Trump, who ordered renovations to the Lincoln Memorial's pool this year, angrily lashed out at U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro when she moved to dismiss the case after admitting damage to the landmark was caused by "flawed installation," not from Hearn ripping up its liner.

Trump has repeatedly insisted that the damage to the Reflecting Pool resulted from intentional vandalism. He has continued to claim that vandals cut a gash hundreds of feet long in the pool's protective lining.

Pirro asked Edelman to dismiss the case without prejudice, which would allow charges to be refiled later.

"I do think there is a public interest in allowing a grand jury at a future date" to issue an indictment if new information comes to light, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Spence told Edelman in a court hearing in September.

Hearn's attorneys argued that there was "no valid reason" to keep the case alive given the new evidence cited by Pirro.

In his ruling Thursday siding with that argument, Edelman wrote, "While all defendants deal with some degree of uncertainty regarding the odds of re-prosecution after a case has been dismissed, Mr. Hearn faces the unique possibility that the government will revive this case — one that it has already announced to be meritless — based on political pressure brought by the President of the United States upon his subordinate officers."

The judge wrote that he respected the U.S. Attorney's authority to decide which cases to prosecute and which to dismiss.

"However, in the exceptional circumstances posed by this case, the government has no right to retain the ability to compound the errors it has already made, or even to threaten to do so, at Mr. Hearn's expense," Edelman wrote in the order, which Hearn's lawyers shared with CNBC.

In a statement Thursday, Hearn's attorneys called Edelman's dismissal of the case with prejudice "a victory for the rule of law and for an innocent American seeking justice."

"This case never should have been brought in the first place," the statement said. "What happened to Mr. Hearn is an outrage that should shock every American."

The White House and Pirro's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the judge's order.

The sell-off drove the yield, or interest rate, on 10-year US Treasuries to 5.34% – the highest level since 2002.

In the UK, where surging borrowing costs are increasing the pressure on the chancellor, John Healey, before his first budget later this month, the yield on 30-year bonds hit 6% for the first time since 1998, before easing slightly later in the day. Yields on five- and 10-year UK bonds were also up.

Stock market investors sold heavily too, knocking almost 1.7% off the FTSE 100 in London – its worst daily fall since May. Bourses in other parts of Europe were also hit, with Germany’s DAX falling 1% and France’s CAC 40 losing 1.6%.

“There is carnage in the bond market, which is hitting stocks hard,” said Neil Wilson, the investor strategist at Saxo UK. “It looks like the relentless rout in the bond market is sending investors running for cover.”

The bond sell-off around the world is being driven by fears of high inflation, as the Middle East conflict continues to restrict oil supplies from the region.

Japan’s 10-year yield rose towards the 30-year high set last month.

US bonds weakened despite inflation data on Wednesday coming in lower than forecast, which was expected to calm investors’ nerves about the prospect of further increases in the cost of borrowing by the US Federal Reserve.

Traders remain anxious that the Fed will continue to raise interest rates to fight inflation, mainly in response to the strength of the US economy and the prospect of workers bidding up their wages.

Mohit Kumar, an economist at Jefferies, said there was growing concern at the amount of debt being issued to fund government deficits, as well as inflation concerns.

“Inflation, deficit and issuance concerns continue to weigh on the bond market,” he said.

“There is also a buyers’ strike as investors do not want to step in till we get some form of stability. Hedge funds have suffered in the latest round of sell-off and do not have the risk appetite to fade the move. Real money potentially has the risk appetite, but won’t step in till we get some stability.”

Axel Rudolph, the chief technical analyst at the investing and trading platform IG, said: “While the latest data has reduced expectations of an October Fed rate hike, investors remain wary that persistent inflation and higher oil prices could keep rates elevated for longer.

“The dollar is benefiting from that caution, climbing to a three-month high, while the prospect of a December rate increase keeps pressure on bond markets.”

Oil prices rose again on Thursday, despite analysis that showed exports of crude from the strait of Hormuz have largely returned to levels seen before the outbreak of the Iran war, as oil producers and the shipping industry have found alternative ways of transporting crucial fuel out of the Middle East.

Brent crude rose 3% to about $101 a barrel.

The price of crude remained at elevated levels as traders balanced the recovery in some Middle East exports with uncertainty over a long-term solution to the conflict and reopening of the strait.

Eurozone countries were also caught up in the wave of selling, with France in particular in investors’ sights. Ten-year yields on French government bonds hit 4.96%, the highest level since 2002.

The spread over German yields – an indicator of the additional risk France is believed to face – has jumped to its highest level in more than a decade. %!s()

The vulnerability in question is described as "Improper initialization in an ASUS certain motherboard [sic] allows an physically proximate user to read or write arbitrary memory by inserting a specially crafted device." Basically, a bad actor would need to be in the same room as an affected PC to exploit this vulnerability. Even though local access is required, it's still a pretty serious issue.

Designated CVE-2026-93495, the issue has a high severity score of 7.0. As such, Asus has issued a security bulletin earlier today saying it "strongly recommends updating to the latest version" of the BIOS for a list of affected motherboards.

The affected motherboards include a number of ROG Strix and ROG Maximus models. I've included the full list of models, plus the fixed BIOS update that Asus recommends downloading, below:

You can download the relevant updates from the Asus support site here. Asus also has a handy guide for how to update the BIOS in Windows here. Users of Asus Armory Crate and similar software tools may also want to make sure they're not missing out on any recent updates, as another high severity security vulnerability was discovered back in August.

The Los Angeles-based studio is a partnership with Margaret Stohl, a Bungie veteran who has written 14 books as well as numerous games and Marvel Comics in her career. She serves as Stone Kite's CEO. “I've spent my career creating books, games, comics, film and television, and I've seen how often the medium that tells the first story ends up defining everything that comes after it,” she said. “Stone Kite is about breaking down those old media silos. Instead of starting in one medium and adapting outward, we bring the best global creators from different disciplines into the room from day one to shape the world together. We change the conversation. We never say that’s how it’s traditionally done. We build communities, and we listen to them. That’s how we’re creating worlds that people can explore for decades, in whatever ways they want.”

“I’ve spent my whole life making games, but I’ve always wanted to write,” Jones said. “I used to bike fifteen miles along Lake Michigan to the used bookstores in North Chicago, and bike home again with a backpack full of sci-fi paperbacks. Margie was the first person to believe I could write a book of my own, the first person to read it, and the one person I trusted to help me develop it into epic entertainment that leaves the world a better place.”

One Zero One is a four-part limited comic series about an impending face-off between humans and a rogue army of AI-driven robots. Part 1 is available now in digital form on the Stone Kite website, which is also where you can preorder a physical copy.

Jones co-founded Bungie in 1991 and stayed with it until his position as Chief Vision Officer was reportedly part of the widespread studio layoffs enacted by Sony earlier this year, which today's Stone Kite announcement would certainly seem to confirm. Jones is regarded as a visionary game designer and rarely gives interviews. In fact, his career-spanning interview with IGN in 2013 was his first interview in over a decade at the time, and he's rarely spoken publicly since.

Bungie, meanwhile, which had officially ended support for Destiny 2 earlier this year, announced last week that it is in fact not finished yet.
